Pretty neighborhoods don’t just happen, They take attention, and grooming-especially at our entrances. It takes many other things, including effective government liaisons, “watch dog” services in both covenant and criminal venues, and open communication within the whole community. More importantly it takes neighbors willing to support a volunteer effort to uphold all these and the many other activities.  This is the backbone of our neighborhood association.

Countrywood is one of the most conveniently located neighborhoods in the whole Memphis area. We’re minutes from the largest and best shopping center in the city, minutes from Interstate 40, a half hour from the airport or downtown. Big time collegiate and professional sports are a feature of the city, along with a world-class zoo, opera, and a symphony orchestra second to none - all just minutes away. Chimneyrock Elementary is one of the highest rated schools in the state, and equally good middle and high schools are nearby. Not to mention St Benedict High School and St Francis Elementary School which are second to none.  Top rated Colonial Country Club is inside the development, with its award winning golf courses which surround Countrywood.     It is truly a great place to live!
